yeah they're really not lying when they say its real easy to install a CAI.... it was my first project... i had no idea what i was doin so i DLed the instructions offline... and picked up the HEYNES manual for my car... and it prolly took my and my buddy a little over an hour to install my $55 BOMZ racing intake i bought off of ebay... the hardest part of it all was taking the wheel off... i could definatlly tell the difference between the stock and the cold air intake.... and you will definatlly get the sound from it tooo....

Welcome to the forum WOT is wide open throttle (when you've got your foot all the way to the floor on the gas pedal)

Tuning it is up to you.  Its your money.  I have a 97 auto as well and I love it.  I would say go for it!  As for order, it doesnt matter.  I went intake for a couple months and then put headers and a cat back on at the same time later.

Exactly... Which one you do first is kind of personal preferance and financial situation driven... I believe that headers/exhaust will give you more gains than a new intake but it's also more expensive... it's all up to you with how far you want to go....  There is a LOT of stuff out there for tuning that car so it's just a matter of how much you want to spend and what you want to accomplish

first of all a no brand intake wont do anything but ruin your engine. the filter is made of such crap material that it will let everything through. the horsepower gain that they all claim are all bs. do more research before buying one. even the aem cold air intake will get ya 3-5 hp at certain rpm and if you have an automatic car, forget about the horsepower gain. the best bet is to spend money on the exhaust system. and 30 bucks for a piece of piping and hope to give you horsepower???? come on lets be realistic
