I have to assume that they got a core form some manufaturer like pheonix and swapped the electronics....but u know what mistake i made. my trans mechanic tells me that he would have rebuilt the trans and all electronics for 3000...i have determined that he too would have just swapped out the core...because the he has to make money and the electronics cost me around a grand...anyway reusing electronics isnt the worst thing ud ever do. and the install should not cost more than 700. the trans manufacureer just requires that u have the lines flushed out. that was an extra 45 dollars well worth it for the whole thing to run nice. but i think it was the way to go and although i spent some seriu\os money i got a brand new everthing new trans these places only replace core not all electronics. thats my view if anyone has a diff one please tell. They are on the west coast at San Leandro, but i thought i heard they opened a shop on the east coast. best bet would be to give them a call. The tranny has been working great. 6,000mi on it and still going strong. (in reply to mamarotta) Post #: 47
