I'm going with democrats....but....it's a good thing. They will promise this and that we will change this and that and as usual, they will do nothing (except maybe raise taxes)... in turn making it easier for the GOP candidate in 2008 to take the Presidency = )

I just don't want to loose my right to hunt and provide food for my family in that way.... Plus after spending a year in a hostile zone and sleeping/eating/going to the bathroom with a gun for that entire time it became kind of a friend or safety blanket.... I freaked out for a second once or twice after I got home because I thought I had lost my weapon... then I realized where I was (okay so there may have been a few beers involved *LOL*)

I would really rather the democrats to win because I really want them to raise taxes because our school is sooo close to just collapsing and it is really old too. Plus I hate Bush(the president) he is just so dumb because he uses big words to make him look smart(gah it's annoying). I'm a democrat but what we really need is a black female for president(not to be racist or sexist but it seems about time we need one)

Since most of bush's speaches are written for him I don't think it's his idea to use that verbage... not that I think he's a good public speaker though... *L* as far as a female president goes I would not be opposed to the idea, however, statistically speaking females act more emotionally than males, men tend to act more logically (not always the right logic I might ad) and I believe that it's this belief that has thus far kept a female out of the race.... Now as I stated I'm game for the idea but I'm not a fan of it being Hilary Clinton...I'd just like to see a competent president with the best intrest of our economy in mind, Male, Female black white whatever just someone who's for us....

If something I just said offends someone I apologize none of it was intended to be offensive.

more money will not fix the problem. want schools to be better?

1. hold parents accountable for what their dumbassed children do
2. hold kids to a high standard and if they don't make it, flunk them

As a parent I am responsible for raising my kids and I do not need to have our schools teach things like "it's OK to be gay" or "homosexuality is a form of birth control" (yes some dumb ass teacher said that to my kid)

3. Admission to college should be based upon grades only.......straight a students get priority overy anyone else

and Please Don't give me this crap about inner city schools suck. they suck becuase the parents failed to do their part in PROPERLY RAISING THEIR KIDS

Once you fix the learning problems, the money won't be wasted on things such as cops in the school, security measures, etc and can be put into maint of the current buildings

Yeu I used to work at an elementary school and I can't believe that a teacher said that to your child. That's totally unacceptable. At the school I worked that teacher would probably not have a job anymore. I agree with you 100% about the responsibillities of parents with their children. I will continue to vote republican regardless of what democrats come up with. What about Bill Clinton? What did he do for our country? As soon as Bush got into office I receive more money back in my pocket from taxes. Bush has been faced with crazy situations. So someone else could have done better? I applaud him and I will never think badly of him. I honestly think he has been the best president considering all the insane things that have happened. I'm sick of all the negative press!!!! It's really crazy how everyone is so influenced by the press. I just choose not to be. It's just my opinion so don't be mad.

I have to agree with Yeu. People need to be more responsible for their actions and how they raise their children.
On a similar note, the president I want is one that is looking toward the future and forsees the troubled water ahead. When Nixon took away the backing of gold to our currency it enabled inflation to easily rise. The national debt is in the trillions. We continue to print money. Why do people invest in finite things such as gold? Has anything been done about social security? When the baby boomers retire do you think that they will just print more money? It costs 2 cents to print a dollar bill. The rate that things are going the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer, while the middle class will get disolved into either category.
If anyone has these similar concerns I suggest you hear more about the real deal from this book, "Why We Want You to be Rich." I'm not trying to plug this book but it is very insightful and I think many of you would enjoy it. The book is by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki.

Lol my school isn't big enough to need cops or metal detectors. It is a highschool of about 450 kids, and a high percentage of them are well behaved and the rest are in alternative school. And as for repairing I WAS talking about it falling apart. We had to wait for 2-3 years to get new roofing(YES roofing). Everytime it would rain we would have brown puddles everywhere and everyone would get sick because theres like 30+ years of nasty stuff built up between the ceiling and the roof. So now you know why we should raise taxes...for the LITTLE things.

Are you serious????? Grades alone. So a kid who is a total nerd, no social life, involved in ZERO extracurricular activities has priority over let's say a 3.5 gpa well rounded student -- particpated in atheletics, student groups community service etc...

What about SAT's, SAT II's, ACT etc? What about the students that helps raise a family, goes to school, and has a part time job? Some schools are known for being lenient or having poor education and a 4.0 in one school might be a 3.5 in another. Should this not all be taken into account?

I hope you were implying that college acceptance should be based on students qualifications and not quotas. If that is so, I totally agree.
