i help out working at a honda repair shop on the side with some friends... and i must say that kevin is right abput the 00-01 model year accords... not just the v6 but also the i4 tranny's have problems... and you cant find a good rebuilt one or even a good used one because they have so many problems... it's like find a quarter with a mark on it on a property with thousands of quarters on it... they all look ok but till you crack them open you dont know if it is any good...

ive even heard of a few of the new ones being bad... but much fewer than the 00-01 model years... as for changeing the tranny thats easy... but getting a good part is hard and time consuming...

my brother has a v6 1998 accord. The engine is in tip top shape just like when we bought it at 40,000 miles it has 130,000 now and eingine is just fantastic. But the tranny is another story. It slips and flares alot but still works. So from experice i would say great engine bad tranny.

the issue theyre talking about is auto trannies. .theres nothing you can do. .its gonna DIE! lol thats why i dislike auto trannies in any vehicle. .they are much more unreliable than manual transmissions. .i like to have control of my vehicle. .I decide when to shift! lol

Well where talking bout Any v6 before the 7th generation. Becuase on 7th generation they made it poosible to get a v6 in manual. But before that the V6 only came in auto.
