Well, after fighting the service manager at my Honda dealership, I took my 2004 Accord back to let the factory rep take a look. "Rafik" did not look to know what the hell he was doing. He walked around and basically stalled for time. Then "Well EEt looks like a outseede isshue to me!" 'I said "Really. Well its not acid rain--go check the US meterological survey--we have very very low levels of SO2 and NO. No bird makes a runny streak across a trunk unless you are suggesting a duck with diarrhea landed on my car. Plus the clear coat is coming off-what little of it there is--not to mention the wonderful orange peel texture to the side panels...and oh by the way--the pattern would be consistent with a hydraulic fluid leak from a robotic arm in the factory that contaminated the metal. Vapors arise as the flat surface panels are thermocycled--first thing to go is the clear coat...so you tell me Rafik--just what the hell are you trying to sat did this---and it the same driveway and garage that my Excursion (with no problems) sits in---PLEASE explain that to me!!!" Rafik--"Eyeee dooo not knoow what caused it but eet is an outseede issue and Honda warrantee dooes not coovere deez." Anyway, I got his card and the number for national customer service. Will update on the next chapter of this B.S. Any suggestions would be appreciated. PS I took it to my Ford dealer body shop to ask an unbiased opinion--he said "Sure looks like a warranty issue to me!"
