I have a 91 Wagon and the driver's side coil on the strut is broken in 2 places.  Anyone have any wagon springs laying around that were replaced with coilover or something?  Let me know.

I have no idea.  The car sits crooked so I looked at the struts and noticed that the driver's side front spring is cracked in 2 places.  There doesn't appear to be any damage or crash evidence so I guess 231k miles just wore it out or something?  Craziness.

That is weird... send a PM to wheelbrokera and ask him about springs, I know he can get you some aftermarket ones (lower, coilovers or standard OEM) for right around $100.00 for the set of 4.  If one of them randomly broke I'd worry about the rest...  Sounds like a good time to do a cheap upgrade

Thanks for the suggestion - but I don't have room in my budget for $100 springs for my $320 car!  I actually found a set of struts complete at a local junk yard that I will grab along with a used upper control arm with a good ball joint.  So far I have $450 into this car including the purchase price, oil, filter, air filter, pcv, valve cover gasket set, front brakes, plugs, heater blower motor, t-stat and radiator flush.  It is crazy how many of them are in the junk yards around here - parts are cheap and plentiful which is just what I need.  Thanks!

You could set fire to that car and push it over a cliff and make more money off the insurance claim than you have into it *LOL*  That car is worth more stolen than you've paid... That's sweet I'm glad to hear that you found what you needed, one thing I will say is that if you are doing the job yourself pay VERY close attention to how the cap and base of the strut line up before you disassemble it and make sure the new one goes together the same way....

Is that a 91' or a 81' wagon? there are conflicting numbers in that post, you say 1991 and your signature post list a 1981!
