RE: Question about HID - 4/8/2007 12:27:41 AM    pwilkes3 Posts: 17 Joined: 3/7/2007 Status: offline ok, so if i want to do HID with my stock headlights, can i just replace the lo-beams with HID since i leave them on all the time anyways. i like the really bright lights i see on the high-end cars these days and i want those bright lights! lol. so whats a good temperature to go with. i really like 10000k but that may be a bit much for a lo-beam. so whats a good compromise between 10000k and something that i'll still get flashed by others for thinking i have my brights on? _____________________________ 2001 Honda Accord EX 2.3L ULEV-VTEC 5-Speed Manual Transmission Bomz SRI CF-Style Strut Bar (in reply to gcorvette987) Post #: 16

RE: Question about HID - 4/10/2007 9:55:33 PM    HuYnHness Posts: 557 Joined: 8/16/2006 Status: offline well the HID conversion kits are pretty much plug and play for the most part besides mounting the ballasts. the cheap "HID" bulbs on ebay arent real HIDs theyre just halogen bulbs with a bit of xenon gas to make it a bit brighter. and since HIDs only take 35W instead of 55W or 100W some "HID" bulbs use they shouldnt burn the oem wires. i believe its 35W in total but stocks lights are 55W each bulb BTW 03Sleeper what bulbs are you running in that picture? _____________________________ Black 2004 Accord EX 4dr AT 4 cyl.
