OK here goes

I take my lovely CL type S in for it's 50K oil change and to have the allignment checked.......they said ab out 1.5 hours wait...not a big deal to me since it is my day off and I can watch TV in the CS lounge (gotta love the History and Discovery channels)....8:30 they come out and said your car is ready.......BUT.......we have a problem......

They take me back and explain that they changed the oil and the tech ran the car into a rim and tore up the front bumper.... (OK they are honest and up front about it) and they said that I get to have a 07 TL while they repair my car... I asked the dealer for one favor since they are going to have to replace the front bumper if I could get them to repair a rust spot on the top of the car and that I would pay for that repair. They said sure (I get the keep the TL for a another day :P )

They called me today and said car will be ready on Monday and I can come get it after work..... cool beans

I am not mad at the dealer since they were

1. Honest
2. Took care of the problem
3. Allowed me to get another repair done at the same time
4. Gave me a comparable car to what I was driving (sorry guys but a TL type S is not a loaner car :P )

I will continue to use them since they are what Acura embodies for customer service.

Impressive.... That's a rare find.... I recently found out that having a "luxury" vehicle does have it's adavantages... it's the little things.... my local toyota dealer (lexus) will do an oil change for $24.95 and wash the car for free.... sure I can go to walmart and have it done for like $15.00 but it's those little things that make for a good experience....

Thats excellent.  Honesty is something that can be very difficult to find nowadays.  Good stuff.

You're sitting pretty with a dealer that allows their service manager to give good customer service.

Sounds like a great place to be honest.  I would be a little mad, but then again....its a Honda dealership fixing it and considering they did the damage, I am sure they will give it the priority quality check!  How do you like the '07 TL?!

1. outside of car = sexy
2. carbon fiber and bling bling interior = crap
3. relocation of Mirror and VSA controls = illogical (mirror moved to dash and VSA moved lower both are blocked  from view by steering wheel)
4. no auto lock on doors when you exit car? (I accidently left the car unlocked it is was still unlocked 20 mins later, the CL type S auto locks within 30 seconds and no I did not leave a door open or ajar)
5. I could not find the trunk release
6. LED lighting is cool but LCD displays are easily washed out in bright light
7. great performance from the motor
8. excellent ride
9. Radio looks like crap, sounds great
10. It's got a hand brake versus a foot brake (awesome) although it is on the opposite side of the cup holder?!?!
11. Covered storage area in console
12. XM radio
13. heated seats are still slow
14. car detects driver by key also

overall I would buy it used but definaetly in a different interior color as I am not too keen on black

Customer Service should be handled like there lives depended on the customers, after all no customers no pocket change for the folks at the dealership therefore no dealership to give customers any bad service...
