I have a 92 Accord Lx, and i simply switched the truck emblem with a newer one and removed the Accord LX badges. The 'H' has two holes drilled behind it and rubber peices in the holes; then the H has two little rods that stick out from the back and go into the hole. The Accord Lx badges are glued on on my car; so i used a screwdriver to pry them off, cleaned the glue with "dawn" dishwashing soap (or you can use goo gone) then i sanded the area with a 180 grit sandpaper, then sprayed sandable primer over it. RE: Need tip on how to De-Badge trunk emblem - 9/1/2005 12:33:12 AM    heathan   Posts: 7 Joined: 8/23/2005 Status: offline Like was just said, to remove the model emblem all you have to do is take a screwdriver(preferebly with tape on the tip to avoid any scratches) and slowly work the emblem off. After that you're left with the sticky stuff. I haven't used the goo gone or anything but what I did was lightly take a razor and scrape the stuff off nearly parrellel to the body to again avoid scratches and then I just took a some-what textured rag and rub the remaining stuff off. I did the same thing with the factory pinstripes. They took awhile to do, but it was a much cleaner look at the end. As far as the H symbol, you could just replace it. I took mine off and painted it the same color as the car to kinda give it an embossed look. If you want none of that and just want a nice smooth trunk you should remove the emblem and fasteners, and then you're left with the two annoying holes left behind. If you just try to bondo them in it'll never work. The bondo won't hold well to the little holes and will eventually probably come out or something. Instead what you do is take a hammer or something and bang a few dents around the holes so that you're left with a small crater or so. THEN you can fill with bondo because it'll allow you to add slightly more and make it more solid. After that just sand, prime and paint. Nothin to it. Let us know what you decide.
