If your going to amp the speakers you could use the crossover in the amp to filter out the lows, or you can buy two crossovers to filter out the bass for those speakers.

I say go without rear speakers altogether.

Rear speakers are great if you haul passengers around a lot and want them to have good tunes, but for the front seat listener they decrease focus of the imaging, smear detail and pull the stage to the rear.  When you have the same frequencies coming at you from different distances and hitting your ears at different times, it causes all these problems.

If youre running a sub in the rear then there is no real need for rear deck speakers at all.

I agree.. if you have good fronts then just disconnect the back speakers until you either get better back speakers that can withstand the bass or do the whole crossover thing. Thats what i did until i swiched my subs from system 1 to system 2 letting them hit hard on low volumes. If you have the money just get some good backs that can produce that bass your looking for

hey toofatt, how did he put 6x9's in such a small hole? I'm wanna do the same with my 93 , but there is a bar that won't let the ,agnet go down so the speakers bulge out of the hole.
