Risks of adding performance... - 2/28/2007 12:00:27 AM    charliejo6443 Posts: 21 Joined: 2/13/2007 Status: offline I am wondering if by adding such things as a cold air intake, exhaust and headers will add too much stress to my engine and cause me more problems than good? If so is there anything i should do before starting my upgrades?? I have heard that replacing the complete set of head gaskets can be a good idea, anyone have expieience?? RE: Risks of adding performance... - 2/28/2007 9:35:30 AM    cfranco88   Posts: 6 Joined: 2/25/2007 Status: offline guys maybe i can post here because i also have a question about the risks of installing an open type filter.. i just installed a K&N open type filter in my 2005 accord this morning.. it surprised me that when i turned on the engine, there is this buzzing sound.. it's a bit loud, very irritating.. I hear it clearly even when im inside the car.. I know open type filters will be noisier, i know the sound of it.. that's why im bothered with this buzzing sound.. the filter is originally from our mitsubishi galant.. can this be the reason why it has this sound? maybe it's not compatible with the accord? The only problem you may have is that your gase mileage may decrease a little. It's better to get a cmoplete intake system (SRI/CAI) because it wil include an aluminum pipe. aluminum  repel heat better than plastic/rubber so aluminum  pipe wil keep the air colder & denser than the stock piece _____________________________ What''''s that red button on your steering wheel...OOOH MY GOD!!!!!!!
