I might be to worried, but when I washed my car, and opened the hood I noticed that my intake was wet, and that the metal below it was wet as well.  Now this was the side of the car that got hit and cost 6k in dmages, but the side that didnt get hit (that has the washer fluid n' such) also had water too.  Am I being just a worry freak or should I really be worried?  Also, would buying some weather strip and putting in underneath the hood where it seals be ok, or would it make the hood either not close completely or something?  Im assuming Autozone has that type of weatherstripping and its just peel and stick.

I don't think there's anything to worry about.

im runnin' a '00 accord coupe with aem v2 cold air intake.. mine runs down behind the wheel base.. ive been told to be very cautious and avoid large puddles.. i live in the LA area so no worries there... awesome gain.. but yea avoid water.. ive heard of engine damage caused by drenched intake filters.. if anything.. wrap a bag over it while u wash your car, but remember to take it off before you start it up.
