and dont forget to add.... you can mount it at any angle ^_-
but yeah,  i have a wet cell in the front and a yellow top in the back,    had an amp fry itself and not shut off, it drained both batteries,   killed the wetcell and the yellow top recharged no problem, only reason the wetcell wasnt replaced with a yellow top or redtop is cause it was still under warranty so it was replaced for free ^_^

A Batter is a battery as long as the alternator is working properly then the battery should function the same weather it is a optima or a diehard. You pay for the name.

not when your cold starting. different batteries have different ratings for cold starting abilities. its in CCA, and too crappy a battery will have a lower CCA, become sulfated faster, and will get to the point where it cant hold a charge.

lasts longer, better starts, looks great, no dirty acid on top of battery, and more durable.
i think those reasons convince me to get an optima.

optimas use a gel-type, not a wet or dry like other batteries. supposedly they can last up to 10 years. ive had my yellow top for over two years and it still holds the 14.5 volt charge.
