RE: 93 accord ex headers - 3/26/2007 9:46:17 PM    19Accord97   Posts: 3171 Joined: 3/5/2006 Status: offline I would say OBX!  Just dont use the gaskets it comes with, and make sure to tighten the nuts once a week for the first month then once a month there after.  Otherwise your gaskets will blow and cause a headache of taking them off and putting new gaskets on. RE: 93 accord ex headers - 3/28/2007 11:57:11 AM    Shadow1992 Posts: 332 Joined: 1/10/2007 Status: offline As you use the headers for the first time, it's going to slightly change it's shape due to thermal expansion. By repeatedly checking and tightening the bolts after you first use it,  you allow them to be tightened so that the thermal expansion doesn't slowly cause them to loosen. Even after this break in period, it is still a good idea to recheck the bolts and other bolts through out the engine and suspension, just in case any of them ahve loosened. RE: 93 accord ex headers - 3/29/2007 4:41:37 PM    19Accord97   Posts: 3171 Joined: 3/5/2006 Status: offline Mmmmhmmm!  As I learned from firsthand experience.  I drove w/o ever tightening them for 8 months and then they finally blew out, threw a check engine light, and my mpg was around 15 for two weeks....$$$$$$$.  So its a paint taking the headrs back off, making a new gasket and all that.  I learned my lesson!   _____________________________ Scopin out my old turf...... RE: 93 accord ex headers - 4/2/2007 1:59:11 PM    Shadow1992 Posts: 332 Joined: 1/10/2007 Status: offline It's not that the bolts pop right off, it's the nuts lossen enough that the gasket doesn't make an airtight seal, and you get a leak. You will hear this leak, but how loud it is depends on how big it is. Also there are a lot of other noises your car is suppsoe to make, so you may not notice a small leak audibly...but you will feel the power loss. As far which headers you have a problem with, it depends on your maintenance of them.
