Which is better vanilla or chocolate? There's no definitive answer to either question, it's all opinion.

But it is in the Off Topic section. hehe

I would have to say Dodge!  The only real problem of theirs was the transmissions in the 90's.  Not because the transmission itself is junk, just that there was too little tranny fluid capacity.  My biggest beef with them are all of their false claims.  Sure they are from a long time ago...but it doesnt really change anything.  They claimed to have created the first engine that had more than 1 hp for every cubic inch, in which Chrysler actually did that.  They invented the gear reduction starters.  Listen to the difference between a Checy/Dodge muscle car starting up.  Then the whole deal w/ them in Nascar in the 70's.  The Hemi Daytona Chargers were destroying everything so they complained to officials in which they imposed ridiculous regulations against Dodge instead of trying to build a worth engine.  I have Zero respect for a company that does that....not to mention they did that in Drag Racing as well, in which they were racing Vegas w/ v8's!  Now...how many Vegas came from the factory w/ v8's?  None.  The president of Drag Racing @ the time regrets imposing sanctions saying it basically ruined the whole series.  Then Chevy comes out w/ the "PT Crui....ummm....HHR" (as stated in Road and Track magazine"  after the PT Cruisers success, and the Cobalt SS to try and compete with the SRT-4.  We have a Ford Taurus, Chevy Lumina, my car, Dodge Spirit and a 79 lil red express and the Lumina has given us the most trouble.  Not to mention my dad has owned a pinto, vega, el camino, 2 cudas.  Of all of them, the least trouble was w/ the Cudas.

Just my .02

Dude...Plymouth/Crysler/Dodge is the same company its all Mopar.  Same as Chevy/GMC or Ford/Mercury.
Actually Ford & Mazda are the same thing too, which not many people are aware of.
I'm a Ford guy myself.  Those 5.0 Mustangs are so easy to work on and decent hp gaining mods are cheap.  They get Sh***y gas mileage though.

I know that, but the engine was put in a Chrysler, thats why I labeled it as that.  Technically the 3 combined are called Mopar, but w/e!

Oops, didnt see you already had the Mopar part in there.

I would choose Chevy over Dodge because they seem to have a better reputation for reliability out of the vehicles my family has owned.  Also I like the Camaro and Chevelle over the Charger.

But give me a Honda, Nissan, or Toyota over a chevy any day.

lol its all good!

But I suppose to be fair, Dodge has made a few junky cars, such as the Neons, but Chevy has too.  Although, there are quite a few Neons out there that have gone over 150k.  I really would like to see, how much of the "junky" cars are considered crap b/c of the way the drivers drive them or low quality craftsmanship.

The thing though with Honda and Toyota is that they take their time building quality vehicles.  When Honda and Toyota came to the U.S all the domestic guys laughed at their weird styling and then super junky quality.  But instead of continuing, they slowly improve and improve....thats why they are at the top.  Keep it simple, and make it better.

I just really hope Mopar, or even GM, or Ford dont get bought out by a foreign company...we need our domestics!

But back on topic....GO DODGE!

Chevy.

My first car was an 82 Caprice Classic. It was a monster...huge V8 block pushing out 355 HP. I didn't need no catback exhaust or header exhaust or SRI to scare the living daylights outta anyone. It's rather outdated speedometer got me into trouble though...it only went up to 80, but the needle would go past 80...so you had to "estimate" your speed on the highway. Got a couple tickets from that... It was the best sleeper out there....OEM rims (cadillac wire-like), rusted body.....the works. 350 cu. in. of pure, raw, unadultrated, non-EPA restricted American muscle.

Sure the imports would jump to an early start...but down the stretch I would win. Easy.

EDIT- But Chevys have crappy gas mileages...the beast topped out at 17 MPG.
