So I just picked up an 03 coupe and im pretty new to HID.  I've had some problems in the last few days blowing the stock fuses that run to the ballast on the HID and was just wondering if I was doing anything wrong.  I've read that the HID's must cool down for around 30 seconds when they are turned off before they can be turned back on.  A few times by habit i've turned them on as i've been starting the car and wasn't sure if that was it.  Thanks for the help

Jeff

you should check if all your wires are on right and if anything is shorting. turning them on as the car starts should be fine i leave mine on sometimes just so i can see it when i unlock the car. and sometimes i dont get in the car fast enough and the lights turn off only for me to turn it back on in a second but mine are still fine

Yea, I've checked the wires, and since I've had it, which has been a little less than a week, The drivers side has blown 2 fuses and the passenger has blown one.  I talked to the previous owner and he said that he hasn't had this problem so I am assuming its me.  He also said that the company he bought them from would refund them, and if thats what i want to do just let him know.  Thank for your imput HuYnHness.

maybe you just got a bad set... do you still have the stock set up?  i suggest trying to go back to stock for a while and see if anything happens.. if nothing does happen then it has to be the HID kit... what company is the kit from?  im installing my hid's tomorrow.. i'll let ya kno if i get the same problem
