I thought you guys might get a kick out of that.  When she still had the little remainder of the umbilical cord left sticking out of her bellybutton we had to put rubbing alcohol on it every time we changed her diaper.  I would always joke with my wife and say "Look honey, Lucy just said: 'That smells like daddy'!"

Jon think of your new baby girl. how would she clean it up. i think by looking at you with those new born baby eyes and say "Daddy, pwease stop smoking. I wuv you." How do you say no to that?

Thats a good way to look at it.  I know you said you didnt want to hear dont smoke...but dont make your new child deal with the affects of smoke...ecspecially when she has no say in it.

She was born with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.  Haha!  JK.  All of my college friends said that so I couldn't resist. In her sonogram pictures some of my buddies were like "I think I see a cigarette in her mouth already!  Is that a tiny bottle of Scotch in her hand?"
I don't ever smoke with her in the car.  If I know she will be in the car, I will ride with all of the windows down to let it air out before we put her in.
I smoke outside the house too.  And I always wash my hands before I touch her if I have smoked.
Then I take a big swig of Scotch to get the smoke smell out of my mouth.

I'm almost proud of you now for your actions..

And dont' run the A/C! The smell will stick in the vents and that sucks for resale value (if you care about that).

Since you didn't mention smell, I wanted to at least advise that there's a jar you can buy that has wax in it to trap the smells.. these work great, but if the car gets hot from sitting in the sun these turn into bowls of liquid... I found out the hard way!!!!!!!!! It sure did a good job of suckign up the smell, but as I took off it spilled all inside my cup holder (damn was I lucky). the sprays didn't do crap for the cloth seats to take the smell out...

As for cleaning, I don't think it's possible... The owner before me smoked, and you can tell sometimes when i slam my visor up you'll see some "dust" come down, but you smell it and it smells like smoke.. ugh...

anyway, good luck to ya!

I dont know what yall use for the smell, but ive found that spraying "FEBREEZE" into the vents and running it on high and circulate for bout 5 min. always works for me

Jon .... while you're there, get a fridge pack of baking soda and put it in the ductwork in front of your cabin filters.  That should help take out the smell.

The car actually does not smell like smoke.  I leave the windowns cracked every day (when it doesn't rain) and normally I leave at least one window all the way down in my garage at night.
My problem is all the ashes everywhere.
