well if you plan to do the whole engine, I think that an F series block is a better start than the H series due to the sleeves ..... if you're going to resleeve the engine, then it really doesn't matter, but if you want to bore the cylinder a bit to tighten up the compression, then F series FTW.

so your future plan is just to build the engine and leave it N/A, or are you gonna boost? it plays a role in the type of engine you should get. if your planning on boosting get the F, if your just looking for pure torque get the H and rebuild.

yeah im lookin to boost so i guess im rollin with the F then!! Thanks everyone for the help i appriciate it!! i don know everything yet about the Hondas, its really my second car but im lookin to really fix it up and learn at the same time!

cast iron takes boost better.   H cylinder head flows air better for NA ....... best is an F series with an H22A head.

what would be best. turbo right?  i got an f22a6, but i want dohc. should i go with the f22b?

yeah i would go with the f22b if your planning to go turbo..my future plan formy car is to fully build a f22 block and put on a fully built h22 head.
