I know I will lose this battle, but by how bad do you guys think I will lose?  65 mustang vs my accord.  My dad and I have talked about racing and i'm down even if I know I will lose.  He makes fun of my exhaust cuz it sounds like i'm fast, but in all honesty i'm not lol.  So how bad will I get it?

Is it the 6cyl mustang or the 289 V8?  Is the mustang manual or auto?
Either way, I say the mustang wins.

How about this:
My 91 Auto Mustang vs Falkore's ride.  1/4 mile.

If it's the 2.3L 4 banger, I think I've got it!

Alright, no problem, but I get to jamb my knife in the mustang's sidewall first.  Then it's a fair race!

289 4 on the floor.  I know I will lose, but my dad is out of practice with the stick so maybe I can do somewhat ok lol.

I think the 5.0 can do it.  Those five point slows have some mean torque iirc

Get a small C-clamp and set it up so he can only hit the gas half way.  Then, you line up the cars.

300ft lbs at the crank - stock

Out of practice shouldn't matter.  The 4 on the floor mustang would probably beat you even if he shifted from 1st to 3rd and skipped 2nd gear all together.  Unless he totally burns up the clutch and doesn't move off the line, he will win.
I envy your dad's Mustang by the way

put a block of wood under the gas pedal, or remove a couple of spark plug wires.  If you don't want to do that then you may as well just put a nice poster of a girl in his back window so you can look at something that's nice as he blows by you, rather than just looking at the tail end of his car.

nah ...... the race was side-by-side.  He couldn't hold on in the bend.  Like I said, I beat the driver, not the car ...... and how exactly does he have a "far better suspension" when I'm at 1.0 g?  I agree that the car is balanced better and may handle slightly better, but I don't think the C32 is hitting 1.3 g's.  Less than 0.3 g's I wouldn't consider "far better".

Well lets see...you drive a low level import sedan. He drives a factory tuned high end luxury sedan that has to have a suspension to back up the power it puts down. I hardly doubt your car is hitting 1.0g with just some springs and shocks. Unless you have some sort of defining proof that your accord is somehow out performing an AMG C32 then I'm gonna raise the BS flag on this.

I'm pretty sure he could hold it on the bend, he just didn't feel like putting himself in danger over some kid in his accord.

The C32 could have smoked any lightly modified Accord.... He probably wasn't flooring it, while i'm guessing u were Falkore...

Sometimes people post kills on here that confuse me.  Like for example an i4 7th gen accord pwning a g35.  I would have to say unless the two parties agree to the parameters of the race, it's kind of hard to post it as a kill.  The person thats racing the accord cld just gun it real fast then slow down, but then the accord owner could keep going and claim victory.  That's just how i've always looked at it.  Then again I could see how the accord owner could say, well if they didn't push the car, then that's their problem and accord owner ftw.  Confusing topic to me.

Only race I can say i've won with certainty is against my gfs 2002 lx since we said whoeer crosses xxx street first wins and I did.  Woot.  Anyways I got to go to work.

Sorry to but in here, but this has gotten pretty popular!

So, let's say, My 95 Accord, versus a 1995 Mazda 626 V6! (The 626 has many asthetic mods, but not any engine mods. Lets also add that it isn't in the best condition) That might actually be a race someday.

If its the 4-cylinder you'll win.. However the V6 will own you...
