BlkCurrantKord, my car clearly cuts out at exactly 4500RPM and 115MPH. Yes, there is a binary governor written to the EEPROM chip inside the ECU. In Crome, under options, there is a box to specify the speed limiter and it works.

You drive a 95.  Not the same as a 6th gen.
Why do you need to go over 100mph anyway?  I hope I'm nowhere near you on the road when you are driving that fast.  Good luck if you hit any potholes or blow a tire at those speeds.

Let's try something..

You read the first post, then mine, then find the relevance of your post to this thread.

Alright, alright guys, no need to flame on me I wasn't trying to offend anyone, just stating my opinion.

00AccordLX5spd, I don't need to drive over 100mph and I don't drive like a maniac. I've never been in an accident, nor had any moving violations. I didn't even need to chip my car, it's pretty much stock. It was the idea that it's possible to change how the engine operates and its electronic limits in 5 minutes that intrigued me to research it and do it.

BlkCurrantAccord, I'm not protesting what you say. You have the 6th gen, not me. Every Honda/Acura I have driven (my 1995 Accord, my grandparents 2006 Accord, my mom's 2004 MDX) have all hit their fuel cut off at specific speeds, whether they're OBDI or OBDII.

I don't want to argue here, nor am I going to keep arguing. I respect your opinions and I was just trying to share mine.

Push the pedal down harder. Why you guys can't make it past 100mph is beyond me.

Several of us on 6GA have - Mix of auto/manual 4cyl's and auto V6's.

no, it's not, your speedo is in error all non ex accords are limited to 118mph and that has a lot to do with the tires that are on the car......the accord speedo is off by more than 6mph when you get into 100+ speeds (V6 performance . net for discussion on this)

my car is governed to 147 (According to Acura) mph and when i hit the speed limiter in the CL, the speedo said 153mph and GPS locked it in at 148.3 mph my speedo is accurate up to 50mph and from 50-60 is it 1 mph faster and from 60 to 90 it is 2 mph faster

So by what your saying, only the Ex's have accurate speedos? Riiight. I can tell you my car is not limited to 118mph. Even with the speedo being off, as it will be with any car at such a high rate of speed, 6-8mph still puts me well over 120mph.

I checked v6p...saw nothing that backed your statements. In fact, most of them disagreed with everything you said.
