does wet paint actually protect like wax?. i bought some and used it, it works like a charm as far as making my accord really shinny. theres no doubt that it has a wet paint look to it. but it seems like it doesnt beed the water like a wax. when it rains around here, the water leaves behind little spots. it wipes off easy, and it aint hard water spots, just like little dull spots. like i said, they wipe away easy. WOULD I BE ABLE TO PUT A THIN LAYER OF WAX OVER WET PAINT AND STILL KEEP THE SHINE?.  WOULD PUTTING A WAX OVER WET PAINT EFFECT IT IN ANY WAY?

First off it's a very good idea to apply/remove WP twice. By doing so you assure complete coverage. WP has a sealant in it that does protect the paint. The fact that the water spots wipe off easily without leaving marks attest to that. Applying wax over it won't harm anything and may enhance the shine and depth even more. I top it with Duragloss Aquawax (a sealant) or Optimum wax somethimes. Do NOT use a cleaner wax though or you're back at square one.

Here's WP with Aquawax atop it. It's on my gal's champagne colored Corolla. This combination makes it easy to get depth from light colors.

ok, so if i put a coat of gold glass, it wont take away from the shine? i want the water to bead more, but i dont wanna loose that wet look. also, say i use a buffer, and buff my car with a rubbing compound. would u suggest just using wet paint over it?, or use something else along with wet paint?

Assuming the paint needs it I would compound/polish then apply WP with  the buffer (soft foam pad) until it almost disappears into the paint. Wipe it down and check the look. I've never used gold class so try it on a spot and see how it looks. If it improves the appearance then go for it. Wax only lasts 3-4 weeks so you will need to reapply fairly often.

If you don't have a soft finishing pad then apply by hand.

It will work for application or removal. Not enough power for compound or polishing though. Make it shine and let's see the pictures!
