wnat to do an h22 swap - 11/27/2005 4:12:13 AM    2.2ex965spd   Posts: 71 Joined: 10/20/2005 Status: offline yeap, lookin to put a vtec h22 from a prelude to put in my '96. Not to down the engine that came with it, but +55/35 horses/ft. lbs. out of the same displacement, hell yeah!! according to japspec.com this conversion can be done relatively easily using honda/acura parts. Does anyone happen to know which parts from which cars? Will the b22-1 5spd tranny bolt up to the h22? sorry if I ask anything stupid, this is my first time workin with an import, thanks guys. Think of starting a top speed run on a 10-speed bike in 1st to 5th gear vs a top speed run starting in 5th gear to 10th. I've gathered some rather conflicting information, so I'm not going to put together a list based on hearsay. I know that you'l need the accord axles and there may be issues with the water pump fitment or things like that.
