2018 Accord Splash Guard Question

Hi Everyone. I am installing splash guards on my 2018 Accord Touring. The plastic clip that is on the "underside of each fender needs to be removed. I understand there is a specific tool required. I just wanted to know if you just simply pry the clip down to remove it, or if you also have to do something at the end within the fender, like squeeze it with pliers for instance.

Thanks in Advance for Your Help

We need a pic to see what type of clip you are talking about. There are many different type of clips. Most of them are either prying up or pushing in the center then pull out the whole clip. No need to worry about the back side

Okay Thanks! It's the backside I was wondering about. This one has the solid center on the clip, so looks like I just need the correct tool to use on the outside. Thank You!

If you don't have the tool it's fine. There is no need to go purchase one for one job. Just use a flat head screwdriver to pull out. It should come straight out with minimal force if the center has been raised out. If I'm thinking you have what you have there should be 2 slots on the edge of the clip. Use a flat head to pry out the center once out use your nail or fingers to pull the outer portion of the clip out.

Thanks for the response! I'll look at it again to be sure.
