'89 Sedan, Flip-Up light jammed down
 

I'm looking into buying an '89 Accord, its in really good shape but it was backed into at one point, damaging the hood, radiator, and the light.

The radiators been fixed, hood still shuts, but the drivers headlamp will not go into its up position, I'm new to the third-gen, so I need help with "unjamming" the light.

With the hood open, you can get a pretty good look at everything. I'd pull the wires from the motor that moves the lights. Then on the top of the motor there is a knob - if factory set up is still there - there is a cap over the knob that you will beed to pull off.

The knob will manaully move the light up and down. While turning the knob watch/look at/inspect the linkage. Let us know what you find.....and if you could take some pic's of that area it would help as well.

I can go outside and compare your pic's to my 89 LXi in the driveway :) ......if you haven't noticed I'm a big fan of the little 3rd gens.
