I am new here

I have a 1988 Accord LX, and the seats are in really bad shape. My dad and I went to a junkyard recently, and we found two different Accords with basically pristine interiors. One is an 87 Accord LX, and I know those seats will fit, but they are brownish/tan and my interior is grey. The other seats are from a 92 Accord LX, and the seats are two tone grey, which would look good with the interior.

I know the 87 Accord seats will fit mine with no problem because they fall into the 86 to 89 generation. My question is, will the seats from a 92 Accord LX fit in my 88 Accord LX? Is it the same bolt pattern when attaching them?

I don't really know the answer on this? I'm going to bet the mounts are a bit different - however the lower mount/slide base may transfer from the 3rd to the 4th gen seat??????

 

That's what I'm thinking. I'll have to measure my seats really good, write everything down, and head to the junk yard again tomorrow. The two tone grey ones are in much better shape than the other ones. I was there today, and I took a really good look at both sets of seats. The front seats don't seem to be an issue to swap. It's the back ones that make me wonder. Hmm. Thanks though :-)

 

The back, well I'm pretty sure the effort (time, money, custom fab) is going to be way more than what you want.
