Custom front bumper....any tips?
I recently bought an unpainted front bumper to replace the damaged one I have now...(yay fog light holes!) And being an artist, a lot of my friends were pushing me to handpaint/design it myself..this thought intimidated me at first, I love my car so much I am afraid to screw it up...but it ate away at me and i'm going to give it a shot...(bitting nails) I want to incorporate a lot of the car's original color...I'm guessing this will take 3 to 5 months...after i finally settle on a design..anyone have any tips before I start?

Hmm..no one in here ever painted their own parts? Whats a good website or company to buy paints from? Should i get an airbrushing thingy? How many coats should i do? Whats the best "sealant" or coat to protect it when i'm done? Maybe i'm in the wrong place...lol

I have a hard time imagining an air brushed front bumper looking right on the car.
If that is what you want to do you will need to spend some time on google researching your answer as there is likely no one here who would have any real info for you. Good luck |
The more I think about it, the more I think I should just have it painted the same as the rest of the car...this seems like too much of a big undertaking...and I don't want to screw it up...

I'm actually about to undertake some nighthawk black pearl painting myself, how did yours end up going?
