Headlight question

I am looking to get some new headlights and this HID kit for the highs and lows, http://www.carid.com/xenon-hid-kits/...kit-67569.html, for my 03 Accord coupe. I am wanting to get black headlights since the car is black but the only thing I can find in black has the Halo eyes on it and I heard that with the HID kits it will melt the Halos. Can anyone tell me if this is true? Thanks in advance

first on the HIDs those are way to expensive go to http://-Categoriesget the sim ballast and the bulbs of your choise i have found to work just fine for me but dont get the raptor kit it's junk! With the headlight thing go to http://www.filtsai.com/accord/housings/index.php and .php?t=8744 they are DIY on blacking out ur housing yourself the second one is better on how t get the headlight apart and the first one is exactly what your wanting but it leaves out som steps that the second one covers. hope this helps.

Thanks! I will definitely look into these. Can anyone explain what the HID Harness and Error Eliminator is used for? I am not sure whether I need them or not. Also, I need to know what size the fog light bulbs are for changing them out to the HID bulb.

The HID harness is only needed if your vehicles oem wiring is unable to give enough amperage to the ballast. Usually, if you get the slim ballast, its a digital ballast so you need less amps to start it up. The error code eliminator does basically what its called, and its only needed in some vehicles. i believe you wont need one for most honda vehicles....

HID's run cooler the Halgon, they only use 35W's as opposed to the 55W's used by halogen.

The reason HIDS don't "work" with projectors is becasue the actual bulb itself is a bit longer and puts it's source of heat closer to the lens\

I recommend a harness, takes much strain off your system, and they only cost like $15 to make, i use one on my 99 accord for my hids

I didn't see a harness in those pics just ballasts

here what i made a LONG time ago on how to make your own harness
you plug the control side of the relay to the headlight plugs and the power side from the battery to the ballasts

To the right of the pic there is an option to add the HID harness. I didn't see any pics of it but I figured it would be what you were talking about.
