HID's without projector headlights?

Hey guys, i'm about to ordered an HID kid for my car. I was informed by a friend that I'm probably going to blind the **** out of people without projectors. Plus i'm wondering opinions on if I should get 6000k 8000k or 10000k? It's a Blue 06 Accord Sedan 4 cyclinder if that helps at all. Thanks a lot

Well i got 12k theyre more of a violet color and my friend has 10k and its a deep blue depends wat u like, i also have stock headlights and i usually get flashed by other car at night at least once a day, they are very bright. and if u buy projectors they have to be for h.ids and if u were looking into buying projectors from ebay they dont recomened to use hid on them.

Don't get projectors, HIDs look better in a floodlight. The reason you are blinding people is b/c you need to adjust your headlamps. I have 8000k which are much brighter then 12000k and I have only been flashed one or twice in a span of a year and a half. HIDs are bright, but if all the light is going to the road you won't blind anyone. Also projectors that work with HIDs are $300+, and they just don't look as good. I think 8000k looks the best, the deep blue and purple just don't look right, and be prepared to get pulled over. So if you get 1000K and up make sure you get a DOT approved kit b/c you will get pulled over if you live by me. 8000k are bluish white, here is a pic, its a lot bluer in real life. Also the higher the kelvin the more color, but the less light. 8000k gives you the most color and light.

Cameras really wash the blue out. 1000k are a lot bluer then that.

Hey Guys,

I'm brand new. Just picked up my '06 EX last week. Just out of curiosity, do you know if the accord is set up for HIDs, eventhough it doesn't come w/ them? I'm hearing mixed stories about needing to change wiring harnesses & ballasts.

Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Tom
