Ok say you have a 2002 or 2001 Accord Coupe. And I want HID's, and I already have a 9006 Philips 6000k HID kit. If I put that into the Accord, will there be lots of glare? Will I be able to see?

Do you have a link to the kit?

My unprofessional answer would probably be yes.

This is based purely on reading various forums that state that very fact.

HID 'kits' that are installed into headlight housings, without being retro-fitted, will produce glare.

That's about as simplified as an answer your going to get.

If you actually have gone to other forums and ask this question, YOU-WILL-GET-FLAMED!

Or simply put, they will say that you are a retard for asking the question, go read a few hundred posts like we did.

Or it seems to be that way....

i dont get why it'd make glare if its the same size bulb that's already in there...

To my understanding, it's how the light is focused by the housing.

A halogen light in the housing it was made for will not exhibit the same kinds of qualities that a HID bulb will in the same housing.

The photos I've seen of HID's put in an OEM housing look awful, and I'm sure would warrent lots of people flashing you to turn your 'brights' off.

I suppose the worst thing that could happen is you install them and see what happens.

My suggestion is to look around at various websites/forums to see what information there is on installing HID kits in non-projector housings.

I know it sucks, but sometimes the only way to know is to see it for yourself.
