Removing License Plate Bulb Housing
 

Any tips or tricks on how to remove the bulbs/ housingatop the license plate ??? I wont budge for me.

Bulbs or the actual cover? If it were me and the bulb was burnt out I would just grab it with a pliers and if it breaks just grab the metal base with the pliers. But that's me...

Actually the housing that holds the bulbs. It wont come down enough to reach the bulbs

Hmm, no clue. I'll wait for a 7th gen owner to answer. My 5th gen had 2 screws and you had access to the bulbs, my 6th gen you just pop off the cover (I think).

you gotta remove the trunk cover and you'll be able to access the housing and the bulb.
remove all the tabs that hold the trunk cover. Once you can see the housing, you'll be able to see the tabs that hold the housing in place. Push the tabs towards each other and push the housing out. This is how I got mine out and changed the bulbs into LEDs
