trunk swap (cg3)

i have a 2000 accord coupe and really want to swap my wingless trunk with one that has the factory one. saying i find someone with one, is it a direct swap? would my car be prewired for the 3rd brake light?

if anyone actually wants to swap, let me know. mine is in mint condition and waxed frequently. i dont know my paint code but i believe it is taffeta white.

You can swap the trunks yes,but why not just by the factory spoiler, that comes with mounting instructions, and wiring for the brake light on the spoiler.

i was avoiding having to drill holes, line it up, and have it painted.

Ok,lets say you get an even trade, are you willing to drive around with a totally different color trunk, chances of you finding a trade with the same color trunk w/spoiler are slim.

i understand what you are getting at, but i have seen plenty of accords w/ spoiler that are the same color as mine. hell, i even have one in my neighborhood (already asked :) ). i was just wondering if anyone on here would actually be open to the trade.

Even if you do find a trunk lid with a spoiler, would you imagine the shipping charges you would have to pay for the weight of the lid? Also, anyone on here who would trade with you would also have to pay nearly the same amount in shipping. Then, you have to factor in that you and whoever you trade with will be without a trunk lid for a few days, and you would have to go through the trouble of removing and installing your trunk lock. Oh, and don't forget about all the wiring you have to unclip for the taillights. You and whoever you trade with would have to do the same process, and I don't think anyone on here would want to go with all that trouble when you can just buy a spoiler, either new or used, and drill the holes yourself. Just remember, measure twice, cut once. If you want a brand new spoiler, here are two spoilers you can buy: http://tasauto.com/Product/Browse.aspx?d=834&p=1 On that site, the one on the left is a factory spoiler from American Honda Co. which will be painted to your color. On the right is a factory style spoiler. The left one is more expensive than the right, but it is also genuine. Your call dude, but if it were up to me, I'd just buy a spoiler and mount it myself.
