'02 HU install help plz?
 

I've trawled through the forums, and I've found people talking about it, but I haven't seen an actual link.

My brother just got an '02 sedan handed down to him and he's looking to replace the factory stereo. I'll be the one doing the work, as I've installed my fair share of stereos. My question is this - where can I find a kit that will allow me to install the HU in the stock position? I know this is a rather expensive proposition, what with the A/C controls being there, but this is how we'd both prefer that it be done.

its not expensive in an 02. like most older cars, you'll just need to snag a dash kit and wiring harness from walmart, best buy, etc. my scosche one from walmart is gay. go with metra

Botang is exactly right. I've got an '02 SE coupe and the stereo install just took a basic dash kit. If your local store doesn't have it, try an online source like crutchfield
