12 inch S12L7 Kicker

circuit city slashed there prices and i went to go look at some video games and came across the last 12 inch S12L7 for only 200 bucks. half off already, so had to buy it. my question is should i keep my two 12 inch kickers in the trunks or put the solo baric in? I can easily sell the solo baric on the street to make a profit. Which one would be louder in my setup?

That depends on how much power you have. If you have 750 or a bit more watts to play with than the single L7 will be louder than even two L7s. What subs and amp are you running now? I'm not a big fan of the L7. The CVX is the same driver, just a circle cone which sounds a lot better. But an L7 will give you some MAJOR bass, and last you a long time if you treat her right. $200 isn't much of a deal though.

im running two 12 inch kicker cvr's with a 1200 watt amp. so basically imma change it to 1 12 inch L7 with a 1200 watt amp. ur right, not a really big deal when u google the price of this L7. i said probabbly like 20 bucks, but hey anything helps. especially wen at circuit city, it was 400 bucks.

You can run that single L7 on 1200watts, but not as a daily driver. If your looking for a single sub setup, a 15" CVX or L7 go nicely with that amp.

huH? what r u saying?

Lol exactly what I said. A 12" L7 is only rated for 750w, while it can take more it's best to stay close to that power range. The L7 will take short burst of 1200w without a problem, but if your going to use it like normal 1200w is a bit much. A 15" CVX or L7 is rated for 1000w, hence the reason I said if you want a single sub on that amp a 15" would love that amp.

What amp are you using? Are you sure its 1200 watts RMS?

The L7 is one of my favorite subs. If it were me, Id use it in a heartbeat.

Yeah, it is rated for 1200w RMS but I didn't read the whole thing so I don't know what numbers they saw when testing it.

ohhh ok ic..this is my only amp, and payed ALOT for it. so basically the L7 wouldnt be fit for my set up?

Unless you limit the amount of time you turn the sub up, and only bump hard (EDIT) for one minute or so at a time the sub will take the 1200w.
