1996 Insrument Panel In and Out
 

My instrument panel has begun to go in and out. A portion of the dash lighting along with the tach and speedometer go out all at once mid drive, and then suddenly they will all snap back on.

Because it goes in and out Im fairly certain its not a fuse, could it be a board somewhere or some wiring? Any help is appriciated.

this kind of issue is the result of a loose or corroded connection. it is the most difficult problem to have because it can work when you look for it.

best to start with a shop manual and schematic and verify what all cuts out, then find the common point and start there.

if it's only the instrument panel then it can be at the connector (access it and wiggle it to look for the issue). otherwise it can be inside on the boards in which case you replace it.
