2004 Ex 6 disc cd-changer

So, I got a problem.
I got an 04 Accord with 94,000 miles and about 3 months ago I ejected one of my cds to change it and when I tried to put another cd in it came back with an "err". It took the Cd like it was gonna play in and it sounds like it spends it to read it, but then in spits it back out and displays "ERR". At first I tought it was just my Cd so i tried a different one and it happened again.
I bought my car in 07 from a guy in Virginia, and I've not had any problems out of it at all til this. So, I dont have a warranty on my car, and I really dont want to spend tons of money fixing it. I know its not a big issue but its annoying to me.
So help me out if you can, PLEASE!

not sure if it will help. but remember back in the day when cd players were the rage?

try getting a lens cleaner and see if that helps...otherwise i am of no help lol

That's actually a good idea. Haha. Now the question is what can I buy to clean it BC everything I remember was a spray and u had to wipe it off. I can't do that to my car. But I'll Google it and see what I can find. Thank you so much.

modern lens cleaners have a disc that has some small brushes on it, you use a cleaning solution on the brushes and load the CD. but it requires the player can at least access the cleaning track.

2003-2004 in-dash changers had some issues. not a Honda problem as they didn't make them. but a very common problem that isn't easy to solve since replacements are expensive, used ones have the same issues, and aftermarket has to go in the lower pocket due to climate control integration.

An alternative of course is to add an ipod integration. The part plus the cost of a cheap ipod is considerably less than a new head unit.

Well i got an iPod cord thing that u tune it to the radio and it plays the iPod but just bothers me that it doesnt work. I just wanted an easy fix us know lol.

I don't consider an iPod an equal to CD's.

A decent iPod integration piece that offers HU control is over $100. An iPod that is large enough is more than that. Having the iPod already makes it easier.

A decent HU with the pocket kit is less and sounds much better since the stock amp is near worthless.
