2005 Accord Radio Static
The radio on my 2005 Accord has been acting up as of late. I bought the car off craigslist a while back and the guy installed an aux input but other than that the radio should just be a stock one. Whenever I use the aux or turn on the radio, it would play fine for a while and then there will just be a static noise and a popping sound until I turn it off. When I turn it on again after that it works fine for a bit and then would happen again. I ran diagnostics and it showed "DSP OK, EEP OK, TmR". Is there anyway I can fix this problem by myself? I don't know too much about cars so any help would suffice. Thanks!

If you had "TNR OK" then no faults were found.
Shop manual advises "TNR NG" means Tuner Bus Faulty and to check for loose connections. If no loose connections found replacement may be indicated. Check ebay and car-part.com for replacement units. good luck |
Those head units are notorious for issues. Replacing with another OEM unit may yield the same issue. An aftermarket head unit with the necessary kit is your best bet.
