2007 Accord wiring questions

Hi all,

I have a 2007 accord EX (w/o navigation) and I've recently bought a double din to replace the factory stereo. I've run into some things that don't match and I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this. I guess my first question is "are the steering wheel control wires included in this harness? If so, is there a diagram that lists which wire is for what?" (I bought an adapter as well but since these aftermarket parts are for so many models, they don't seem to have all of the info) Also - I've referenced the list below and There are wires for "radio illumination" and "stereo dimmer" but the wire on my stereo's harness seems to list the same wire for each. Do I combine them, am I missing something, or do I just go without for the dimmer? I have extra wires, and wires without stripes when they are listed with stripes ... I can't seem to find a better guide out there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Radio Constant 12v+ Wire: White/Green
Radio Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow/Red
Radio Ground Wire: Black
Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Black
Stereo Dimmer Wire: Red
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Green/Black
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Green/Yellow
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/Red
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue/White
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/Black
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Pink
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/Yellow

The instructions for the PAC-Audio SWI-Jack to an Alpine radio is as follows:

Connect the INTERFACEs white wires to Pin 3 (green red) of the above connector. Connect pin11 (brown) to ground. Cut the purple loop then connect one end of a 560 ohm resistor to the second (inside) purple wire, and connect the other end of resistor to the white wire. Insulate the first (outside edge) purple wire as it will not be used.
Pin 3 and Pin 11 are in the factory harness

you will need to intercept the factory wiring as the wire you want isn't in the harness adapter. Adjust the instructions based on the exact steering wheel control interface you buy. They should have vehicle specific instructions and your radio needs to be compatible.

i cap the dimmer and illumination wires (separately, not together).

Thank you for the reply.

Got it all wired up and everything is working :)

One thing to add if anyone comes across this ... go to the vendor's page if the instructions aren't clear or programming isn't working. The instructions that were included with mine were missing some of the basics.

Which wiring did you get to working? Original post? Or response?
