2011 Accord Center consloe removal Help

Anyone have any tips or tricks on removing or tearing down the center console? I am installing headrest dvd players and everyone has told me to go down the center console with my power and other wires. First time doing this, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

NOTE: The dvd set is vizualogic a-1285's. I have searched youtube, but no honda accord installs.

Thanks

Anybody?? It's hard to believe with all the knowledge on here, that no-one has any input on the disassembly of the center console. I just need a few pointers to get started. Thanks.

the thing with new cars is that it takes a while for people to have an opportunity to take them apart.

a Haynes manual should tell you everything you need to know, every specific screw location.

generally, you have to remove the driver and passenger lower dash panels to gain access to screws that hold the console to the lower dash. there are usually some in the console arm rest/storage under a removable panel. the shifter trim needs to come off and the plastic cover can come off - sometimes with screws that tie in at the front pocket. it's like a puzzle, whatever is on top has to come off first.

most people will just stuff them under the side of the console and not actually remove the console to do it. it's not as secure but typical. if you remove the console you can gain access under the carpet and have the wiring come up through the floor with factory wiring. at that point i would install a molex plug so the seats can still be removed. then route wiring inside the seat up to the headrest.

Hey thanks for the advice. I was able to get part of the console out, enough to run the wires. All is installed and working well. Thanks again.
