2013 & 2014 Accord ANC disable with pictures
 

Read through what few post on the subject I could find and after some R&D came up with what I feel is the simplest way to disable the ANC.

First remove the drivers A-pillar, if you start at the top and get the air bag clip first then release the two lower clips then using a flat blade screw driver push down on the white part of the air bag clip while pulling up on the A-pillar you can remove the air bag clip without damage.

Near the dash you will see two plugs, unplug both and pull yourself some slack.
Remove the tape on the 14 pin plug to get to the wires. (see pic)

Now you can cut the wires if you like, but for me I'll just remove the pins from the plug.

You'll need a very small flat head screw driver to do this.

This is the same but you only go to one location and you do not run the risk of damaging your headliner. So would you rather pull one panel to do the job or five panels and try to stick your head and arms between the back glass and headliner?

This eliminated the distortion when starting up the car. The ANC was causing major feedback from the addition of amps and subs, that lasts over a minute sometimes

I just finished disabling the ANC unit on my 2013 Honda Accord. Finally!!!! the thump sound is gone when I turn my car on:). Below is the link where I was able to find step by step instructions on how to do it. I did it by simply unplugging the ANC unit that sits behind the AC controls it is very easy to do and it only took my about 30 minutes do it. The instructions are in pdf. so make sure you look at them as they have pictures and are very detailed.

Note: The tools I used were a trim panel removal, a screw driver and a 10mm socket.
