Anyone purchased a retail wiring harness for their premium stereo yet? If so which one did you get?

I see the metra 71-1729 listed as the one that plugs directly into the stereo. Anyone use this one?

I see the metra 70-1729 listed as the female option - anyone use this to plug in right before the stock amplifier?

never used either, but I can tell you I have never gotten anything from metra that didnt work as described.
