2013 Accord Sport- Adding GPS?

Hey All

Just traded in my 2011 Pilot for the 2013 Honda Accord Sport Edition. It has the big screen radio with many options including the backup camera. Is it possible for gps to be added to the radio and screen already in the car? It is a huge screen and would look a lot better on that then the one I have to suction to the wind shield. And if so whats the best option for me and a price idea?

Thanks

I should ask is it possible for them (Honda) to add GPS for me into the screen? I see it is available on the EXL model and above. Can I have them add it to mine?

you could, but most people are disappointing with Honda (and other OEM) GPS since they are based on maps that cost $500-$800 to update and are outdated even then.

stand-alone GPS that you can update (free lifetime maps) is superior and preferred. you'd easily spend a grand or more getting a dealer to upgrade to a NAVI using stock screens.

i mounted my Navi in the upper left corner of the windshield. cord runs down the a-pillar trim and gets power via add-a-fuse. i can reach it, it is stealth, and out of the way.

How did you mount it? I have the stand alone gps but the suction cup calls off the wind shield all the time. Any suggestions that could help? Also mine has to be plugged into one of the volt plugs to work. Any suggestions for getting around that:?

Guess I am looking for more details about what you did. Sounds like a winner to me.

Should also ask do you have a picture of the setup I could look at?
