2015 sport, A/M kenwood touchscreen issues

Hey guys, this is my first post here and am unsure if I'm in the right section to post this question.

I installed a kenwood DDX99028 with a metro Honda dash kit. I was told that with this setup my original top screen would continue to function as it had before.

After this was installed my top screen is glitchy as well as my volume and source button on my steering wheel. The screen no longer tells me how many miles I can drive per tank or what my fuel economy is (it does still show fuel economy on my dash by the speedometer) and every time I turn off the car, the time resets to 12:00. I have looked around and am unable to determine how to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

What Metra kit did you get? 99-7408B for $400?

That is the only kit that provides function of the factory screen. It requires programming, is controlled by the steering wheel controls (by holding buttons and entering the adjustment mode), and it is buggy. No one seems to like it.

The lack of memory may be due to the install of the interface. Or it may be a bad unit.

The solution many are moving towards is disassembly of the factory head unit and hiding it in the dash (you have to access it and reinstall the faceplate for adjustments).
