5 1/4" can fit 95, easly
 

Wanted to start new thread so not to take over other.

I just got done putting in the 5 1/4's in my daughter scar and it was EASY! You can fit either 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 in there.

You can see in the removed speaker pic that ring accomadates both sizes of speakers.

I did make some baffles out of scrap paneling that I had. But didnt have to use them.

Her car had premium sound so I popped out tweeters in dash and cut one wire. Even though factory and new door speakers were both 4 ohm I didnt want tweeters working incase the impedance was lower than 4 ohm and run risk of damaging amp in head unit.

Speakers sound ok. You can't really here them over subs and 6x9's in back. Need to work on fade. They really need own amp but that's not going to happen. She can be happy with what she got :)

OBTW in case your wondering what kind of speaker those are they are soundstream's I got from woofersetc.com. I put 220uf 25v non polarized axial cap and that should cross them over some where between 150 to 200 hz
