6 cd changer issues
 

I have a 2001 accord with a jammed cd in the changer..any technic to remove with some confidence the player will continue to work would be appreciated. There is a web site that deals strickly with Honda 6 cd changers that come with a 1 year warranty for around $100 plus shipping. Is this a better option?

getting the cds out of a jammed head unit is going to require disassembly. there are a lot of screws and a lot of springs. the housing on the unit goes on in 4 pieces. as you remove the housing components of the cd changer come off with it. if you are not comfortable takeing this apart shipping it off would be your best option.

start by disconnecting the battery negative cable so the changer has to reset, then reconnect. you will need the code for the head unit.

i have the 6-disc changer out of my 2001 accord for sale. $80 shipped and it includes a remote turn-on wire.
