89 accourd radio and heater problems

Alright basicaly the radio and heater decide when they want to work. Some days it works fine then it could be weeks before they come back on. I dont know if it has anything to do with the key but some times the key sticks in the ignition and u have to wait a few minutes to get it out. also when u go somewere for a short time if u put it in park it dont want to come out of park. Any clue whats happening to this old honda.

the park issue could be a switch that is activated by break pedal. my girlfriends car does that too. A friend of ours who is a mechanic said if she bought the part he would fix it. we just havent gotten around to doing it. It could also be a switch in the ignition that wont allow it to come out because it thinks the ignition is not in the on position which would also explain the heater/radio. Not sure on the part about the ignition switch but it seems logical to me. I know none of these things will operate if the key is off.

Ignition switches fail. The brake switch is a good idea. Radio and heater are probably bad connections.
I would replace the ignition switch, the brake switch, and use a DMM to probe for voltages associated with the radio and heater at the fuse box,
