94 accord radio trouble
 

I have a 94 accord with a stock radio with 6 disk changer added. When I turn the radio on it is static for a few minutes then the radio kicks in and works just fine. It first started out only being static for a few seconds then eventually grew to take minutes to work. I have no problems using the cd player. Nobody seems to know why. Any ideas?

sounds like it is probably an antenna issue since it is only doing it on the radio and nothing else.

There's no external antenna. Its the kind where its integrated with the rear window defogger. Andono visual damage.

Just because it is not external doesn't mean there is not an issue. Unless you have followed the wire back from the rear windshield it is hard to tell about visual damage. Couple that with the wire could be damaged inside the insulation and you can't tell. Also could be a connection issue at the head unit ( this would be my first thought) or internal on the board of the radio itself.

I can not think of any other possible scenario for the problem that does not involve the antena in some point with its interaction with the head unit.

it could also be in the stock radio.
