95 Front door speakers

Hello, first post on the forum. I just got my first Accord last weekend and I love it! Looking at replacing the speakers in it. I know the rear speakers are 6x9's but what are the fronts? I have tried to search the forums, crutchfields, etc.. but have not found a definative answer. It is a 1995 Honda Accord EX-R. Also another question, if I replace the stock HU does that effect the factory alarm in it? Thanks in advance.

uh, I measured my daughters car and from foam to foam it was 5 1/4" Though there are plates that look like 6 1/2" the factory speakers are mounted to. Should get them this week and will put them in this weekend so I'll let you know how it went.

OBTW on rear 6x9, don't get any where tweeters protrude above speaker that much. You won't be able to put factory grills on. I learned that one hard way

Best thing to do is pop of grill and measure from foam surround across speaker.

they are 6.5" speakers. Speakers are measured by the size of the metal cage......

yea that shouldent be hard to make, just make sure its not going to leak any air, or you might start to hear the air getting moved around between the baffle and door. but you can do it;)
