99 accord dash light not working

I've been searching this subject for a couple of weeks now. I have a 99 accord ex. the dash lights (back lights) and ac control lights are not working. I did the resistance check on the dimmer circuit found on one of the threads here. It reads from 0 to around 19+ ohms. I have replaced the drivers side multiplex controller and the instrument cluster (junk yard parts). No difference. What else could cause this problem. I've also checked the fuses.

also does anyone have a wiring diagram for these two areas. ie the instrument cluster and ac / clock controls. I may just rewire providing my own source for 12V and ground. Ideally I need to find 12v switched on by the headlight switch. I just haven't had the time to get back in there with my multimeter. Before I do that I thought I'd see if there may be a relay or something else in this circuit.

thanks

RE: 99 accord dash light not working

Check the wiring harnesses for damage, especially the ground wires. Also, have the battery load tested to be sure there is not a shorted cell inside.
