Accessing door speaker 03 Accord
 

Hey guys, I have a rattling sound coming from my speaker in my front passenger door. I have an 03 Accord Coupe and I'm trying to figure out how to take the door panels off to access the speaker. It seems as if there are two panels. Any help?

Nope its just one panel, just looks like that. If I remember correctly there are two screws you need to remove. One behind a small panel inside the door handle assembly, and the other is under the hand grip or whatever you call it. Once the screws are out, starting at the bottom of the door panel with a panel puller or a stiff plastic or even metal spatula, gently pry the panel away from the door releasing the clips along the bottom. Then continue to release the clips that are along the sides. Once the screws and clips are out, simply lift the panel straight up and off the door. Be careful as there is a cable stil attached to the door handle on the panel. It helps yo have someone hold the panel for you while you unclip the cable from the handle, but it can be done alone. Once that cable is out simply unplug the small harness that goes to the light in the door and your done. You can find much more detailed guide online.

I just removed my Accord 2003 front driver side door panel today to fix my door handle cable that broke. Removing the door panel is very easy. Two screw behind the door handle as shown in pic 1 in the previous post and 1 screw located as shown in pic 3 in the previous post. Everything else is clips. As t00fatt said just pry the panel away from the door (starting from the bottom right side if passenger door and left side if driver side door). Once all the clips are released slide the panel up. To access the speaker you do not have to unplug the wires that are attached to the panel.

Hey guys, thanks alot. I found out that my speaker was loose so when I turned the bass up it would rattle. Now I gotta figure out how to tighten it.

remove it and use weatherstripping foam between it and the mount/door. this stuff is cheap, and works wonders for creating a seal and decoupling the driver.

i use closed cell in any area that might get wet - like a door. example of what i keep on hand:
