Adding rca converter from factory sub speaker wire
 

I have a 2010 Accord EXL and I am looking to add an amp and sub. Since there are only two wires total going into the factory sub(positive and negative), what is the best way to use an rca converter. Most rca converters require 4 wries in, two positives and two negatives. Do they make a speaker level to single rca converter where I can then use a Y rca adpater to connect to the rca jacks on the amp? Or should I run a jumper off of the positive and negative wire from the factory sub wire to make sure I have 2 positives and negatives, similar to hooking up from both rear speakers if I didnt have a sub. Any help would appreciated.

You should be able to just use one channel out of the four on the line out converter (the official term for the RCA converter).

Most new amplifiers also come with a harness to wire existing hi voltage speaker wires directly to the amp and it will take care of it for you. This is the option i would pick if i was in your position.
